Team Launch (and Social Media Links)

On January 1st of 2026, we officially broke the news about the Burlington Revolution.

This fall, we’ll begin our first season in the American Basketball Association (ABA) in October 2026. Lucky for us, we’ll play our home games in the new Burlington High School Gymnasium once the renovations are complete.

We hope you’re as excited as we are to bring basketball to one of the best basketball communities in the state!

We also launched our website and social media channels, so check us out at the links below!

But that’s not all we’ve been up to…

The Battle of “Burlington”

On January 3rd, we attended the Battle for Burlington game at South Burlington High School.

We were extremely grateful for the soft launch in the community, but we were even more grateful for the brilliant basketball game we witnessed. Although it was early in the season, it potentially could be the game of the year in all of Vermont basketball.

It was a back-and-forth affair, both teams refusing to back down throughout the entire afternoon, and Burlington walked away victorious, 76-75 in overtime.

That game got us fired up to sharpen our skills.

Private Player Runs

On January 10th, we hosted our first private player run.

This run and future runs are reserved for the best of the best basketball players in the State of Vermont. They’re highly structured and competitive, while emulating what a real ABA game would look like and feel like.

Since then, over 30 different players have attended these runs.

Each week, the competition and passion only get stronger.

And that’s not all that’s getting stronger.

Fundraising Campaign

When we announced our launch, we asked for a bit of help to secure capital for a strong start to our season, and we were overwhelmed by the response!

Thanks to our strong community, we were able to raise nearly $4,000 in fundraising to help kickstart our journey. We’ve also secured a couple of wonderful sponsors. Announcement coming soon!

We can’t thank you all enough, and if you’re feeling called to help support us, you can still donate to our GoFundMe below:

The Origins of Revolution Basketball

The Burlington Revolution began as a simple dream—a dream to fulfill a need seen by founder Andy Bousono. In 2014, just one year after Bousono graduated from Johnson State, he recognized the need for competitive men’s basketball in Vermont. A place for real basketball junkies who craved competition to not only showcase, but also continue to develop their skillset. In lieu of that need, Revolution basketball was born.

Revolution started as a pop-up tournament style that attracted former professional talent such as local legend BJ Roberston, Tyrone Conley, Chris Cayole, and Mike Trimboli. It has also seen recent talent such as Colton Huestis and Kam Farris.

Due to the popularity of the tournament style, a new idea hatched in Bousono’s mind.

The Birth Of Revolution Men's League

What if he created a Revolution League?

Lo and behold, in the year of 2017 the Revolution brand launched its first men’s league. Its success can be noted for its draft-style that prevents teams from being lopsided, therefore, ensuring competitive games week in and week out. Some players have even quoted it as being the highlight of their week.

The thing that makes Revolution basketball so special is that it’s like a huge brotherhood. I have made so many friends and brothers over the past 2 years that I’ve been in the league.” -Stanley Salley

With limited access to basketball, Revolution has been a mainstay.

Players drive far and wide to congregate in Burlington. Some players drive from Middlebury, others from Barre and Montpelier, and others have even come from out of state to attend weekly games.

It just goes to show how vital Revolution is in the Vermont basketball world.

However, their impact is not just with adults.

The Expansion of Revolution's Offerings

In 2023, Revolution created a new offering,

Revolution - in partnership with Blueprint Basketball - created the Future League, a league specifically for high school players to sharpen and improve their skillset before their winter season. It has been highly touted as a league where players develop confidence and poise.

“Colin had his first game of the season this week and it was very clear that playing in your league helped him play tough defense and shoot under pressure. He is excited to return again this summer” -Supporting mother

The league has been a massive success for the past several years, and due to Bousono’s basketball addiction and mind, he has since hatched a new idea.

The Vision for the Burlington Revolution

The Burlington Revolution has come on the heels of the success of the Vermont Frost Heaves, a once dominant force in the semi-professional league, the American Basketball Association (ABA).

The purpose of bringing the Burlington Revolution to light is to allow local talent to demonstrate their skills and prowess in front of their hometown fans and turn their dreams of becoming professional basketball players into a reality. The Burlington Revolution will serve as a feeder for local high school and college players to have an opportunity to play at a high-level and advance
